Scholars in the Making

**Scholars in the Making** *A year-long research mentorship initiative by IEEE Computer Society, Pulchowk Student Branch Chapter* Ever imagined seeing your name in an internationally recognized IEEE journal? Scholars in the Making (SITM) is designed to turn that dream into reality — guiding participants step by step from a raw idea to a fully published research paper. Over the course of a year, participants move through four progressive stages: - **Research Discussions** – Explore emerging topics, sharpen research thinking, and identify a problem area worth pursuing, guided by peers and mentors. - **Review Paper** – Learn to survey existing literature, synthesize prior work, and build the academic foundation for original research. - **Ideathon** – Pitch and refine original research ideas in a competitive, collaborative environment, with feedback from experienced reviewers. - **Final Paper** – Develop the strongest ideas into a complete, publication-ready manuscript aimed at an internationally recognized IEEE journal. Whether you're a first-time researcher or already have some experience, SITM offers structured mentorship, peer collaboration, and a clear pathway toward your first (or next) IEEE publication.
